woman critical after head-on crash

Just after 8:30 p.m. last Saturday, Monica Tullos, 39, was traveling northbound on Sorters Road just north of North Park when she crossed the center line in her Ford Fusion and crashed head-on into a Ford F350. The driver of the truck, Delfino Sanchez, 59, of Porter, suffered minor injuries and was arrested for DWI. His female companion was thrown to the floor and injured, then transported by MCHD to Kingwood Hospital.

Tullos, who was trapped in the vehicle for almost twenty minutes as Porter Fire Crews worked to free her, was transported in very critical condition with internal injuries by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann in Houston.

DPS Troopers believe Tullos was also impaired prior to the accident.

Sorters Road was closed for almost four hours as DPS and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the crash.
