Just after 11 pm Tuesday Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies in The Woodlands were alerted to a carjacking that just occurred on Woodlands Parkway and Forest Gate. Units were advised a black Toyota struck a 2015 white Cadillac at that location. As the driver exited the Cadillac to exchange information, a silver Jeep Patriot with paper tags pulled in front of the Cadillac. The driver exited the Jeep with what appeared to be a shotgun. The male was then carjacked. Units immediately converged on the area. A deputy with a keen eye was on Woodlands Parkway approaching East Panther Creek when she spotted a silver Jeep with a paper tag. Waiting for backup she followed the vehicle eastbound until just before reaching Grogans Mill where they initiated a traffic stop. The male driver stopped immediately. As deputies approached the vehicle gloves and a long firearm was lying on the back seat. The male was taken into custody. Moments later another deputy on Interstate 45 spotted the stolen Cadillac just south of Rayford Road and initiated a traffic stop. That male was also taken into custody without incident. The driver of the black Toyota was not located but has been identified. Several times over the past few weeks criminals from Harris County have come to Montgomery County to engage in criminal activity. Almost all have met deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and will now have to face the Montgomery County Criminal Justice System which is known to be a lot tougher on criminals.
