WRECKER DRIVERS GIVE A FAMILY CHRISTMAS

Sunday morning over 30 wrecker companies got together to spread the Christmas Spirit for a Splendora family that otherwise may not have had one. The event had been planned for several weeks. They were going to go to the home with the tree and gifts, however, Friday night rains changed that when water made their yard into a lake. The next best thing was to have his brother Steve Ward call Phillip Ward and tell him to meet him at the YMCA at the entrance to Patton Village as they had been out with the family. Moments later Phillip Ward and his family pulled up to wall to wall wreckers and a Christmas tree with gifts under it in the middle of the parking lot. Brantly, age 3 and his brother Landyn 4, stood for a second tasking the site in before they went to work on the gifts. Cody, who is 3-months old is scheduled for open heart surgery this week and medical expenses have put a strain on the family.
