On November 5, 2018, Deputy’s with the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Office conducted an investigation that resulted in an arrest for Possession of Marijuana and a Warrant out of Fort Bend County for Possession of Marijuana.
Deputies were approached by a female in the outside hallway of the Precinct 5 office. Deputies recognized the female from a previous narcotics arrest that occurred in the Precinct 5 area. The female stated that she wanted her phone that was seized during the arrest. While speaking with the female Deputies could smell a strong odor of burnt Marijuana coming from the female’s person. The female stated that she had gotten a ride from a friend up to the office.
Precinct 5 Deputies escorted the female back to the parking lot where they met the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Ronnie Harris a 19 year old male from Bellville, TX. The female was identified as Joanna Cubides a 17 year old female from the Magnolia area. After speaking with Harris he stated that he had no Marijuana in his vehicle and denied consent for a search. A precinct 5 K9 unit at the office then conducted a free air search of the vehicle and received a positive alert on the vehicle for narcotics. The vehicle was searched and Marijuana was found in the vehicle.
The driver was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Cubides was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Marijuana out of Fort Bend County Texas and both are currently in the Montgomery County Jail.
