Meet Bourbon – the ultimate people-pup! Bourbon’s wagging tail and friendly demeanor made him an instant hit with staff and volunteers upon his arrival in September. His affections are boundless, whether it’s for people, treats, or ear scratches – he adores them all equally. This charismatic pup strikes a perfect balance between love and playfulness. Bourbon’s motto? Love, treats, and ear scratches – in any order you please! He’s the kind of furry friend who’s just as likely to snuggle up in your lap for a cozy cuddle session as he is to be chasing after a squeaky toy. Bourbon eagerly seeks out laps for cuddles and showers affection with gentle kisses. He also loves to play and will even entertain himself if you are busy. A quick learner, Bourbon has already perfected “sit” and “place.” Though currently housed solo, Bourbon has proven himself a congenial kennel mate, happily sharing space with dogs of all ages and sizes. Bourbon initially came into the shelter for quarantine purposes after a biting incident involving a passerby on a bike. Unfortunately, Bourbon is currently battling an upper respiratory infection, and recovery in the shelter environment is proving to be a bit of a challenge. He would greatly benefit from rescue, foster, or adoption so he can recover in a loving home outside of the shelter.
