Just after 10 am Sunday morning Caney Creek Fire Department along with MCHD, DPS and MCSO were dispatched to a dirt bike crash on McDowell Road just off FM 1485. They arrived to find a 15-year-old male on the ground and a dirt bike with heavy front-end damage. The boy was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital in stable condition. The young man who was visiting and wasn’t familiar with the area was riding the dirt bike along McDowell when he entered a curve to fast. He went onto the grass shoulder and was able to recover. However, he did not see the unmarked creek bed with high weeds, dropped into it, went airborne and struck the opposite bank with the front wheel, ejecting him. DPS investigated the crash. Texan Towing towed the vehicle.
