Zero Tolerance means Zero Tolerance
Sheriff Greg Capers has established a Zero Tolerance program towards crimes in San Jacinto County. This program reaches out to all aspects of crime that negatively impacts our citizens.
On February 04, 2014, Sergeant Neil Adams of the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau, arrested Point Blank Texas resident Billy Joe Washington at his home located on Hwy 156. Washington was taken into custody on a second degree Felony charge/warrant for “Failure to Comply with Registration Requirement” and booked into the San Jacinto County jail.
The Sheriff’s Office is filing charges against any persons who are required by the court to register as a sex offender. Furthermore, these persons are required to follow specific conditions of their conviction and registration. If they are not in compliance they will be prosecuted.
If you are required to register as a sex offender in this county or have any questions regarding your requirements, contact Ms Sherry Thompson at (936) 653-4367, or report to the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters at 75 W. Cedar Ave, Coldspring, Texas 77331.
Failure to register and comply will create another negative experience for you in San Jacinto County.
