HARRIS COUNTY, TX- A woman faces a charge of Driving While Intoxicated after Harris County Precinct 4 deputies say they found her asleep at the wheel of a vehicle in the 21400 block of Fairfield Place Dr, after responding to a citizen’s report of a woman slumped over a steering wheel on October 7.
Upon arrival, deputies identified the woman as 44-year-old Tiffany Davis and reported they observed multiple signs of intoxication. Deputies then administered standardized field sobriety tests, and determined Davis was intoxicated. Deputies arrested Davis and booked her into the Harris County Jail on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. County Court 4 set her bond at $100.
Constable Mark Herman emphasized the dangers of impaired driving and urged motorists who consume alcohol to find another way home.
“Driving while intoxicated is a dangerous and irresponsible decision that puts innocent lives at risk,” Constable Herman said. “Our deputies remain committed to identifying impaired drivers and removing them from our roadways before a tragedy occurs. If you choose to drink, don’t get behind the wheel.”
