HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE ELECTION DAY

Rain chances will increase Monday night into Tuesday as a cold front moves across Southeast Texas. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop Monday night, becoming numerous to widespread Tuesday morning as the front begins to move over the Brazos Valley and Piney Woods region. The front is forecast to progress toward the coast during the afternoon or evening. Locally heavy rainfall may develop ahead of and along the front, potentially resulting in ponding of water on roadways and in low-lying areas. WPC has placed a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 4) of excessive rainfall for all of Southeast Texas on Tuesday.
