At 9:05 a.m. on Sunday, Magnolia firefighters were dispatched to a house fire with two vehicles burning in the garage on Renly Ridge Drive. They arrived on the scene to heavy smoke and fire on the second floor. Crews were able to remove the garage door and, using the Woodlands Battalion Chief’s winch, pull both vehicles out of the garage. As crews worked on the cars, another crew was able to make an attack on the second floor above the garage, which had no attic but a vaulted ceiling. They credit the solid-core door between the garage and house with the minimal damage done to the interior of the home and being able to quickly attack and douse the blaze. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal will investigate.
