Ten years have passed since Donna Kay Cloud, a 19-year-old mother from Splendora, vanished, and her family and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigators are still searching for answers. Cloud was last seen October 25, 2016, at about 8 p.m. at her father’s home in Splendora, where she had recently moved. After an argument at the home, two men picked her up that evening, and one of them later said he dropped her off safely that night. Her Facebook account was active around midnight on October 26 and into the early hours of October 27, and her trail ends in the Westchase area of southwest Houston shortly after 1 a.m. on October 27, 2016. Cloud left behind her car, money, identification and clothing, along with her then 3-year-old son, and family members have long said she would never have abandoned her child. Investigators said early in the case that they had found no evidence of foul play, and reported sightings of Cloud with an unidentified white man in the Cleveland area were never confirmed. Cloud was born July 7, 1997, and would now be 29. At the time she disappeared, she stood about 5 feet to 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighed between 95 and 133 pounds, and had brown hair, brown eyes, deep dimples in both cheeks and a pierced nose on the right side. She has several tattoos: a diamond on her right ring finger, a cross on her right index finger, “Love is Enough” on her collarbone, “Faith” in cursive on the inside of her right forearm, a crown on her inner forearm, and a script on her right shoulder blade reading “God is within her, she will not fail. Psalms 46:5.” She was last seen wearing a burgundy T-shirt, blue jeans with a hole in the back right pocket and white canvas shoes, and she carried a hard phone case that doubled as a wallet. Her family previously raised a reward of up to $7,500 through Crime Stoppers for information leading to a felony conviction in the case. The case remains open with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information on Donna Kay Cloud’s whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5800 or Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP, where tips can be made anonymously.
