Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle issued a statement regarding Saturday’s tragic crash on FM 149, which took the life of an MCSO Deputy’s daughter:
“Please join the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in keeping one of our Deputies and his family in your thoughts and prayers following the tragic loss of his daughter in a rollover accident earlier today.
During the accident, two young children were also trapped in the vehicle. Through the tireless efforts of first responders and medical professionals, they were safely freed and transported to the hospital. By the grace of God, they have since been reunited with family and are expected to recover.
Our hearts are with the Deputy’s family, the children, and everyone affected by this tragedy. Our law enforcement family stands together in times of heartbreak, and we ask our community to offer compassion, strength, and support as they grieve and begin to heal.
We respectfully ask that the family’s privacy be honored during this difficult time. Additional information will be shared when appropriate.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
Respectfully,
Sheriff Wesley Doolittle”
