Just before 5am Sunday, the driver of a Honda CRV was northbound on I-45 approaching the Gladsdell overpass when the driver was met by a blue Nissan Titan going south in the northbound lanes. The Titan struck the Honda head-on. Conroe Fire was dispatched to the scene and arrived to find the driver of the Honda trapped. The driver was deceased. The driver of the Titan was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition and went into surgery. I-45 northbound was closed at Frazier as Conroe Police and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office investigated. The road reopened just after 9am.
