THE WOODLANDS – Another South Montgomery County bank was robbed Tuesday evening. The Woodforest Bank located inside the Walmart Super Center at the intersection of Woodlands Parkway and FM 2978.
The bandit entered the bank and demanded money from the on-duty teller, who believed the man might have been armed, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled on foot.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating and say the man is probably responsible for a similar crime committed in Harris County.
The robber is described as a white male, between 5 feet 5 inches, and 5 feet 7 inches tall, with shaggy brown hair. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a green long-sleeve pullover style shirt or sweater.
