COMMISSIONER RILEY CONTINUES SERVING SENIORS AND VETS

Magnolia, TX (6/29/2017) For 16 years, Charlie Riley has been singing and cooking for veterans and senior citizens at the West Montgomery County Community Center, on Friendship Dr. Wednesday, June 28th, was no different when Commissioner Riley personally prepared BBQ plates for the over 500 attendees. Senior Citizens came from all over Montgomery County to enjoy dancing, and visiting, while the Charlie Riley band honored them with songs and entertainment.
Emotions ran high when, during the service, approximately fifty veterans came forward. The band sang “Heroes” while attendees lined up to thank the veterans for their service to our country.
Commissioner Riley would like to thank the National Charity League, for decorating the facility and serving attendees, and Top Hat Balloons, for ensuring the room was festive.
