At 644pm MCHD along with Conroe Fire Department responded to a reported auto pedestrian crash on SH 105 West near Carriage Trail, just west of April Sound and just outside the Conroe City Limits. First units on the scene found a 15-year-old female deceased on the scene. She was struck in an unlit area of SH 105 by a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Devin Mathis Crim, age 21. He had just left work and was traveling westbound on SH 105. Crim, who was not injured was taken to Conroe Regional Hospital for a mandatory blood draw. According to officials the victim, which has not yet been identified by DPS due to her being a juvenile was with her sister and were attempting to cross the 7 lanes of SH 105 when she was struck. MCHD transported the victim’s mother, who came to the scene and the victim’s sister to Conroe Regional Hospital as a precaution. The sister was not injured.
