The Conroe Police Department is continuing their effort to help stock “The Rainbow Room” which is maintained by the volunteers of the Community Partners of Montgomery County, a local non-profit organization and provides supplies for children being served by Child Protective Services.
The Rainbow Room, located at the CPS office, makes supplies for neglected / abused children from newborn to 17 years old available to CPS caseworkers 24 hours a day. Some of those items are clothing, shoes, diapers, baby formula, hygiene products, lice shampoo, toys, books, car seats and backpacks.
Conroe Police have been gathering and donating supplies for the Rainbow Room for a while now, with people taking the unused items to Conroe Police Department headquarters at 700 Old Montgomery Rd., City Hall at 300 W. Davis (Hwy. 105 W.), or calling (936) 522-3301 and having someone pick them up.
This CPD and Conroe Rotary Club drive is wrapping up next week, but there’s still time to help.
People wishing to donate are encouraged to purchase some of the following: Diapers, baby wipes, bibs, bottles, sippy cups, baby formula, diaper ointment, baby shampoo, bath soaps and shampoos, hair products, personal hygiene items, shoes, underwear, sleepwear, pants, shirts, jackets, socks onesies, games, puzzles, books, crayons, bedding, child-proofing and child safety items, backpacks, car seats and booster seats. (Cash, checks and gift cards are also a big help!)
