INTOXICATED DRIVER HELD ON OVER $100,000 IN BONDS AFTER ASSAULTING DEPUTIES

Units from Montgomery County PCT 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden’s Office arrested a female early Friday morning on suspicion of DWI, but not before she led Deputies on a vehicle pursuit, as well as fought with, spit on, and bit them.
Early Friday morning a Precinct 4 DWI Unit spotted an SUV going over 90 mph on Loop 494 in New Caney. The Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver ignored his lights and sirens, and a pursuit ensued south towards Porter. The driver pulled the SUV into a fenced parking lot but still attempted to elude Deputies before finally turning into a fenced church parking lot with nowhere to go.
The very belligerent female driver refused Deputies’ commands to exit the vehicle and eventually had to be escorted from behind the wheel to a patrol car. Upon coming out of the vehicle deputies realized the female had no pants or panties on. After getting her in the patrol car she agreed to a field sobriety test. Deputies found some pants in her vehicle. As they uncuffed her to put her pants on she proceeded to remove her blouse down to her bra and then put the pants on and again became very belligerent.  Multiple times throughout the investigation, the female fought with Deputies and became increasingly hostile. They transported her to the Precinct 4 Office to do the paperwork for a blood draw. As she sat in the holding cell she found a way to slip her pants back down and urinate in the cell. As deputies took her from the building to transport her to Kingwood Hospital she spits in one of the officer’s faces. She attempted it again but was restrained. Once in the patrol car, she again tried to spit on deputies missing them but hit the window, A spit mask was then applied. Once at Kingwood Hospital, the spit mask was removed but she tried again. As the spit mask was reapplied she bit one of the officers to the point others said it sounded like two pieces of wood hitting together. The bite was enough to draw blood. The deputy was treated at Kingwood but must now undergo 28-days of antibiotics. The 36-year-old suspect, Viviann Acuna, from Houston, was taken to the Montgomery County Jail and booked in on multiple charges: Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, Resisting Arrest, DWI, Harassment of a Public Servant, and Assault on a Public Servant.
“Our job is obviously not the easiest,” stated Constable Hayden. “But keeping a drunk driver from killing someone on the road, even themselves, is worth it in the end. I’m happy that no one was seriously injured in this incident, and I’m proud of the way our Deputies handled the situation.”
