Just after 6pm Montgomery County 911 operators received a call from several people on a boat in Lake Conroe that were in distress. A full lake response was initiated including North Montgomery County Fire Boat, Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constables Lake Patrol, Montgomery Fire Department fireboat and MCHD. Using a cell signal they were able to locate the boat in Lake Conroe approximately 100 yards off Bentwater. It was a sixteen foot Johnboat with a small engine and no lighting. THe boat had left out of April Plaza Marina earlier. As the rain moved in the winds picked up and 3 foot swells started to swamp the boat. Two males and a female between the ages of 19 and 51 were rescued and cleared by EMS. Tow Boats USA towed the boat back to April Plaza Marina.
