PURSUIT FATAL CRASH LOOP 494
Thursday, around 7 a.m., a Houston Police Traffic Enforcement Officer spotted a motorcycle at a high rate of speed on US 59 near Northpark.. Before he was able to catch up to him the motorcycle exited the freeway. Moments later he once again spotted the motorcycle on Loop 494 at Northpark in the Kingwood area. When he attempted to stop the driver, he fled north on Loop 494. As they got to the intersection of Martin Drive the driver looked back at the officer. As he did this he failed to see the red light. Running into the intersection he slammed into an eastbound Ford Mustang, spinning it into a Ford pickup.

The motorcycle driver was ejected and died at the scene. He was identified as a 24-year-old male from Houston. The motorcycle he was on was determined to have been stolen in Houston in January.

Loop 494 at Martin remained closed until just after 10 am as Houston Police investigated the crash.

Justice of the Peace James Metts ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.

CUT AND SHOOT HOUSE FIRE
Just after noon Cut and Shoot Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire on Lakeview Drive near Oakleaf. When they arrived they found a two-story home with fire out the roof and second floors. A second alarm was immediately pulled bringing North Montgomery County, Conroe, Caney Creek, Lake Conroe and Needham Fire Departments. Firefighters worked to attempt to bring the windblown blaze under control. A 4-wheel drive truck parked under the carport was saved when firefighters were able to enter it and roll it back down the drive.

The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is on the scene to start the investigation into the cause.

Nobody was home at the time of the blaze, a passerby called 911 when she spotted it.

LAKE FOREST HOUSE FIRE
Firefighters from New Caney and Caney Creek Fire Departments responded to a reported laundry room fire just after 1pm Monday. When they arrived they had heavy fire conditions. Water supply was also an issue with the closest plug almost 2 miles away at W. Christine and Morgan Drive. There were no injuries but the home was a total loss. The owner Margaret Mahle, 76 lived in the home for 45 years. Her nephew and his wife were also living in the home. According to Mahle, she had clothes in her electric clothes dryer. She walked into the utility room to be met by flames, to many flames for a bucket of water to put out. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal is investigating.

CYPRESSWOOD DRIVEBY SHOOTING
HARRIS COUNTY, TX – At approximately 8:45 PM, Harris County Precinct 4 Deputies responded to a call at the 200 block of Cypresswood.

Upon response to the scene, Deputies found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds, rendering aid by a relative. Emergency Medical Services pronounced the adult male deceased on scene.

The adult relative of the victim confirmed that the family had met the suspects to engage in a transaction arranged online.

During the course of the transaction, the suspects produced a weapon, firing upon the eldest complainant.

Three black males fled in an unknown direction in a late model black Dodge Charger.

SH 105 FATAL CRASH
Close to 7 am Tuesday morning SH 105 east was closed due to a head-on crash. It was minutes before noon when troopers concluded the investigation and were about to reopen it. It was then a 70-year-old Mississippi truck driver who was hauling a FEMA trailer from Monroe, Louisiana to Hearne, Texas and had been stuck for hours in the traffic. The driver exited the truck to walk across the street to Gilberts Water Well at Magnolia and SH 105 East and ask permission to back into his large lot to turn around. According to a witness who had been acting as the escort for the trucker, the trucker was walking down the centerline when a female driving east on SH 105 slammed into the driver. The driver struck her windshield before hitting the road. NMCFD and MCHD responded to the scene. The driver was rushed to Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands where he was pronounced deceased. SH 105 was closed until just after 2 pm. The investigation continues.

TRIPLE FATAL CRASH IN LIBERTY COUNTY
DPS confirmed a 5-year-old child who was Life Flighted has passed away from the crash on FM 163 in Tarkington. The crash happened about 630 pm when a Dodge Avenger with a driver front seat passenger and 3 passengers in the rear crossed the center line and struck a Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver of the Tahoe was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital by ground ambulance. The female driver of the Dodge was transported by ground also to Conroe Regional Hospital. The what
DPS believes to be the father of the driver in the Avenger died at the scene. A fifteen-year-old sister of the driver died at the scene. A 17-year-old female is still in critical condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. According to DPS the 5-year-old was in a child safety seat but several of the others were not wearing seatbelts. DPS is still investigating the scene and needs to interview both drivers before any additional information is available
