EAST MONTGOMERY COUNTY- A Kingwood man survived a horrific crash on the northbound feeder road of US 59 near New Caney early Thursday.
His single cab full-size pickup left the roadway, becoming airborne, struck a tree, and flipped over in a deep ditch. Emergency responders arriving first on the scene radioed dispatchers saying they might be dealing with someone already deceased from the crash.
However, Terry Dennis Sites, 56, of Kingwood was alive under the twisted metal.
The extrication took a considerable length of time and even involved a DPS trooper.
Sites was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston’s Texas Medical Center.
