PASSENGER IN FRIDAY MORNINGS DOUBLE FATALITY IDENTIFIED

BAUKUS,NICOLENADRATexas Department of Public Safety Troopers was finally able to notify the parents of the second fatal victim in Friday morning’s head-on crash on Interstate 45 at SH 242. The passenger who was in the right rear passenger seat has been identified as TRAVIS RYAN SAUNDERS, 18, OF HOUSTON. Saunders, like Adams, were both pronounced dead on the scene and David Porras was transported to Memorial Herman in critical but stable condition.

The intoxicated driver that struck then head-on was driving northbound in the southbound lanes was intoxicated at the time of the crash. She has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail on two charges of intoxicated manslaughter and one count of intoxicated assault. It is reported this evening that even though drinking establishments close at 2 am her blood alcohol was more than twice the legal limit an hour later when she crashed.
