The Houston man accused of ramming into a Conroe police officer in a botched Christmas night burglary allegedly drove back to the crash site intending to shoot the officer, jurors learned Tuesday during the first day of trial.
Maycol Douglas Lagos-Valladares, 20, is on trial for a first-degree felony aggravated assault of a public servant charge stemming from his arrest the day after Christmas in 2015. Lagos-Valladares was one of two people whom Conroe police allege were burglarizing West End Roofing in the 15400 block of Interstate 45, just south of FM 1488 on the northbound side in the early morning hours of Dec. 26, 2015.
