HARRIS COUNTY, TX- A man faces an indecent assault charge after allegedly making unwanted physical contact with a woman who refused to buy him a beer at a gas station.

Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded Nov. 3 to the 21500 block of Aldine Westfield Road to investigate an assault. During the investigation, deputies identified the suspect as Demarcus Bogany. According to the investigation, Bogany allegedly grabbed the female complainant inappropriately after she declined to purchase him a beer. Deputies arrested Bogany and booked him into the Harris County Jail on a charge of Indecent Assault. County Court 6 set his bond at $7,500.

“No one should ever be subjected to unwanted physical contact simply for saying no,” Constable Mark Herman said. “We take these allegations seriously and will continue working to ensure those who violate the safety and dignity of others are held accountable.”

Bogany is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
