SAN JACINTO COUNTY, TX- A 34-year-old Coldspring man was arrested on a felony theft charge following an investigation into stolen lawn equipment belonging to the Coldspring Sports Association, according to the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office. Patrol deputies began investigating a burglary of a building in May and later turned the case over to the sheriff’s office Criminal Investigation Division. Detectives developed a suspect during the investigation and arrested Chance Ryals, 34, of Coldspring, on a felony theft charge.

According to the sheriff’s office, the stolen property included lawn equipment taken from the Coldspring Sports Association.

The sheriff’s office did not release additional details about the alleged theft or the value of the stolen equipment.

Ryals is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
