SAN JACINTO COUNTY, TX- A 52-year-old Porter man faces a felony theft charge following an investigation into a reported theft in the Cleveland area earlier this year.

William Zahn was arrested after the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division developed him as a suspect, according to the sheriff’s office.

Patrol deputies took the initial report in March and referred the case to criminal investigators for further investigation. Investigators subsequently identified Zahn as a suspect and charged him with felony theft.

Zahn’s arrest was announced by the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office. The agency did not release additional details about the property involved in the alleged theft or its value.

As in all criminal cases, Zahn is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
