At 10:51 am Caney Creek Fire responded to a major accident at FM 2090 and FM 1485. With the station just a block away they were on the scene almost immediately. They arrived to find a Toyota Tundra pulling a landscape trailer with heavy left-side damage. There were five persons in the vehicle including three children. Firefighters had to cut the driver’s door off to free the driver. There were minor injuries but they were transported to the hospital. Also on the scene was a white passenger car, the driver was uninjured. DPS investigated the crash with the assistance of MCSO. Te driver of the white Honda was arrested for his fourth DWI. Witnesses said the pickup was traveling east on FM 1485 through the intersection when the passenger car, which was westbound ran the red light as he turned south on FM 1485 and struck the truck. The scene was cleared at 1 pm. Barsh Towing removed the passenger car and Body Colors removed the truck and trailer.
