Dayton Man Arrested After Deputies Recover Stolen Firearm

LIBERTY COUNTY, TX- A 49-year-old Dayton man faces a state jail felony charge after Liberty County Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered a stolen firearm during a theft investigation. Deputies investigated the theft in Dayton on Sept. 20, and found a firearm that someone had reported stolen, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies recovered the firearm and notified its owner.

Paul Nealsen Martin is charged with sate jail felony Theft of a Firearm.

Anyone with additional information about the case is asked to contact the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at 936-336-4500.

*Martin is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
