At 4:50 p.m., North Montgomery County Fire was dispatched to the 11800 block of Wickdome between Serenity Woods and Pineloch. Units arrived to find that a Mustang Shelby 500 had struck a culvert. Medics started life-saving measures; however, the 32-year-old male did not survive. DPS Troopers investigated the crash. It was determined that the driver was traveling northbound on Wickdome from Serenity Woods. He failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway to the right, went over one culvert pipe, and struck the edge of a concrete driveway. The driver was not wearing a seat belt. Excessive speed was not believed to have been a factor in the crash. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Tommys Wrecker. Eickenhorst Funeral Directors transported the victim to the Montgomery Coutny Forensic Center for autopsy. The scene cleared just after 8pm.
