Humble Senior Citizen Water Customers:
The City of Humble would like to apologize for the letter included with your October water billing regarding senior citizen discount verification.
The verification notice was originally supposed to be mailed with the September billing but was inadvertently included with the October billing without the date being updated. Our intent was to provide ample time for you to be able to provide the necessary verification – not one day. We apologize for any confusion or concern this may have caused.
Please be assured that the senior citizen discount is NOT being discontinued. If you have not yet completed your verification, you will have until January 1, 2027, to do so. If you are unable to do so by January 1st, please contact the Water Billing Department so that we can make alternative arrangements – we are ready and willing to work with you.
The purpose of this verification is simply to ensure that we have your current contact information and to confirm that you still reside at the service address receiving the discount.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to keep our customer records up to date. Thank you for being a valued City of Humble utility customer.
