An accident this morning close to 11:00 closed the southbound feeder of IH-45 at North Loop 336 and closed the freeway for a short time. A maroon 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer was southbound when his right rear tire blew out apparently causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle then left left the freeway. As it crossed the feeder it was struck by a Cadillac.
A vehicle on the freeway seeing this stopped and caused a second chain reaction accident involving 3 vehicles.
Three people from the Trailblazer were transported in stable condition. The two adults and 4 children in the Cadillac received minor injuries as did the occupants of the chain reaction accident.
