Just after 1:3-0pm on Tuesday North Montgomery County Fire Department was dispatched to a reported fire in a three story resort complex on Lake Conroe. Units arrived shortly after at the Sunset Harbor Resort in the 7000 block of Kingston Cove in the Seven Coves Subdivision off FM 830. First units reported heavy fire from the roof of the third floor condos. With Montgomery and Conroe Fire Department assisting firefighters attempted to attack the fire as they connected to a fire hydrant close by. They were unsuccessful as the water pressure was far below what was needed. With the fire increasing intensity the pulled hose to the Lake Conroe waters edge when they connected to North Montgomery County Fire boat 94. With the new increased volume pump installed earlier this year the fire boat was able to supply enough water to quickly contain the fire to two units with some damage to a third. The condos which were built in have some outside construction being done at this time, The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
