Five charged with Vehicle Arson, Prohibited Weapons, Criminal Mischief and Possession of the Components of an Explosive Device.

A joint investigation involving several police agencies over the last 22 months has resulted in charges being filed on five adult men in a series of crimes that occurred on January 10th and 11th, 2010. The crime spree, which included burning an automobile, was the result of a botched drug deal on the evening of January 10, 2011. The five indicted men retaliated by burning a Mercedes Benz car in The Woodlands. Three of the men were linked to the Components of an Explosive Device, a Molotov cocktail, which was allegedly to be used in the burning of a second vehicle, again in retaliation for the earlier botched drug transaction. In the ensuing investigation, two military “flash bang grenades” were recovered by local ATF agents from one of the suspects and are believed to be stolen from the US Army.

The following suspects were indicted on Thursday, November 3, 2011 by the Montgomery County Grand Jury:

o Arson of a Vehicle, Felony 2

o Criminal Mischief

Christopher Louis Game

o Arson of a Vehicle, Felony 2

o Components of an Explosive Device, F3

o Criminal Mischief

Nathan Thomas Bell

o Arson of a Vehicle, Felony 2

o Possession of Prohibited Weapon (Military Flash Bang Grenades), F3

o Criminal Mischief

Todd Nathan Rosenfelder

o Arson of a Vehicle, Felony 2

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a “Governor’s Warrant” to have John Ethan Cassidy extradited back to Texas from Massachusetts.
