The Waller County Sheriff’s Office with HAZMAT, Harris County Fire Marshall’s Office, Katy Fire Department, Pattison FD, Monaville FD, Prairie View FD, Bellville FD, San Felipe FD, Fulshear FD, Waller FD, CyFair and Katy EMS is working an activated plant fire on FM 529 West of FM 2855. The explosion was reported just before 9pm at the Flow Chem Plant. Firefighters remain on the scene as columns of smoke continue to billow from the fire.
At 2 am the fire was declared under control but there remains a lot of fire to extinguish.
While Waller County Sheriff’s Office assisted by closing FM 529 at Morrison Road, an intoxicated driver ran through the intersection almost striking the deputy. He was promptly arrested on a no refusal weekend.
