JEWELRY STORE ROBBERY IN THE WOODLANDS

Just after 7 p.m,. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the Woodlands Mall Jared’s Jewelers for a reported  robbery alarm.  When deputies first arrived they saw a Ford Crown Victoria at the entrance with the doors open. Thinking the suspects were still in the building they held back until it was determined they were gone. . Five dark skinned males entered the store in white hazmat type suits and painters masks  after exiting the Ford 4-door sedan at the front door. They then robbed the store, exited the store to the rear. Walking across the parking lot, across Lake Woodlands and to the Exxon Station where they got in a Chevrolet SUV with paper tags. The sedan was left behind with doors open.  The suspects were last seen heading north on Pine Croft.
Detectives say they were in the store just over a minute. It was very well timed As they had the six employee’s on the ground they smashed cases and took an undetermined amount of jewelry.
On witness who was at the Exxon station thought something was strange when the five walked over in the outfits and  a large knapsacks over their shoulder. She started they looked like  Santa carrying the bag on his shoulder.
This is not the first robbery for Jarred’s, just days before Christmas a Houston Jared’s was robbed when a female called in a man with a gun at a local theatre. When police responded there , they robbed the store.
Just a week before that another Jared’s Jewelers near Willowbrook was robbed of over $1 million in jewelry.
In 2010 a Jared’s in Detroit was robbed. There DNA enabled officers to catch one of five suspects.
