LIBERTY COUNTY DOG ATTACK DEATH UPDATE

Liberty County: Although not confirmed by a documented autopsy report as yet, the preliminary autopsy report of Ms. Linda Oliver age 63 of the Woodland Hills Sub-Division dog mauling case indicates that Ms. Oliver passed away from an excessive amount of blood loss. This was a result of the many dog bites by the large black dog which was later “put down” by a Sheriff’s Deputy the following day. The dog’s remains were sent to a lab for examination for possible rabies infection.

Also not confirmed by a documented examination report as yet, the preliminary report back on the dog’s remains indicate no signs of rabies infection. Therefore, if this dog came into contact or bit any other animal in the sub-division area during the time he was roaming the woods, residents can rest assured their pets and/or family animals should be safe from rabies from this particular dog.
