Early Sunday morning an intoxicated driver was encountered on FM 1485 near Gene Campbell. This is the dashcam video of that encounter while a fantastic 911 call-taker directed units to the driver as a news reporter who was following kept her updated. Precinct 4 Constables finally caught up to him at SH 242 and FM 1485, after nearly hitting several cars head-on with the closest encounter at Firetower and FM 1485. After the driver turned on SH 242 it took almost a mile for them to stop him. He was highly intoxicated and in the front seat was his wife holding their 5-year-old child. No child seat in the vehicle. The driver, Carlos Garcia, 39, of Springfield Drive in Conroe was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a child, a State Jail Felony.. He remains in the Montgomery County Jail on a $2000 bond.
