MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHERIFF ACTIVITY FOR THE WEEK

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On March 29, Deputy S. Degner was patrolling in the area of FM 830 near Kingston Cove. The Deputy observed a vehicle parked on the roadway with no one visible in the vehicle or near the area. As the Deputy shined the patrol vehicle spotlight toward the vehicle a male was seen in the vehicle and then another male. After the investigation was complete the two males, a 23 year old and a 21 year old, from Conroe, were arrested at 1:03am for public lewdness and taken to jail.

On March 29, Deputy S. Degner stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation in the 13600 block of Kidd Road. The female driver was found to be intoxicated. The 39 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 10:50pm, charged with DWI and transported to jail.

On March 30, Deputy S. Degner was sent to the 16400 block of Emerson Circle for an injury to a child call. The Deputy met with a juvenile female at a neighbor’s residence. The juvenile female had raised welts on her wrists and upper arms and she indicated she had been beaten by her mother who was intoxicated. After the investigation was complete the mother, a 39 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 11:03pm, charged with injury to a child and transported to jail. CPS was also notified.

A 45 year old female from Tomball was arrested at 3:31am, March 31, in the area of FM 3083 and Waukegan Road by Deputy J. Hodges for a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a suspicious vehicle call. The female was taken to jail.
On March 31, Deputy J. Parker and Sgt. J. Moya were notified of criminal trespass in the 12900 block of Lake Conroe Hills Drive. The Deputies met with a male reportee who advised he was checking on a house boat for his employer when he observed a male asleep inside the house boat. The male got out of the house boat and got into a vehicle and left the scene only to be stopped across the street by assisting agencies. The 29 year old male from Willis was arrested at 10:00am and transported to jail.

On April 1, Deputy K. Underwood was dispatched to a disturbance call in the area of Loop 336 and Hwy 105. While in route the Deputy was advised a male involved in the disturbance had left the scene. The Deputy passed the vehicle while in route. The Deputy stopped the vehicle and the male driver was found to be intoxicated. The 46 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 1:36am, charged with DWI and transported to jail.

A 30 year old female from Willis was arrested at 7:55pm, April 1, in the 13800 block of Coaltown by Deputy D. Pena for four credit card abuse warrants out of Montgomery County. The Deputy received prior information on the female about the warrants. During the
investigation the female was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance. The female was transported to jail.

On April 2, Deputy K. Berger responded to an area on Sweet Gum for a disturbance call. The Deputy met with a male witness who advised that several males had beaten up another male. A description of the vehicle that actors left in was learned and the Deputy later stopped the vehicle in the 13400 block of Wildewood. The female driver and male passenger were found to be intoxicated. The 23 year old female from Conroe was arrested for DWI and the 25 year old male also from Conroe was arrested at 3:30am for public intoxication. Both were taken to jail.

On April 2, Deputy K. Berger was notified of a welfare concern involving a male that was passed out in the middle of the road in the 9300 block of Elk Wood. The Deputy located the male and found him to be intoxicated. The 20 year old male from Willis was arrested at 10:17pm and taken to jail.

A 49 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 5:14pm, April 3, in the 9400 block of Crystal Springs by Deputy J. Kader for a driving with license suspended warrant, an assault by contact warrant and a traffic warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a criminal mischief call. The male was taken to jail.

On April 4, Deputy K. Berger was sent to the 10600 block of Boyd Road in reference to a threat call. The Deputy was advised a female was receiving threatening text messages from a male on location. The Deputy met with the male involved and found the male had a blue warrant issued out of the Texas Parole Board. The 28 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 3:30am and taken to jail.

District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

4/4 – White Female 54 yrs old from Conroe – Dep. Fruge responded to a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle call in the 6300 block of Hollow Oaks. Upon arrival he met with the vehicle owners, who stated that the suspect was seen entering the trunk of their vehicle and removing a power saw and leaving. The suspect returned a short time later and approached the complainants and pointed what they believed to be a real pistol at them. They immediately went inside and contacted the Sheriff’s Office. The suspect was located next door and admitting opening the trunk, but would not say anything else. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to
the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

4/4 – White Male 27 yrs old from Spring – Dep. Christensen responded to a Disturbance in Progress at 25469 Borough Park Drive. Once on scene, Dep. Christensen met with the witnesses who stated the suspect was found passed out in his vehicle with it running and in gear. The suspect’s vehicle had struck another vehicle in the parking lot and was still resting against that vehicle. A security guard, place the suspect vehicle in park and turned it off prior to the deputy’s arrival. The suspect was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 4/2/10 Deputy Amstutz and Deputy Holden were on patrol in the 23000 block of Sorters Rd. and observed a vehicle with expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver was found to have an active warrant for Aggravated Assault and Parole Violation. The suspect was taken into custody for those warrants. Crystal Methamphetamine, a firearm, marijuana and a criminal instrument (lock pick) were found in the vehicle. The suspect, a 33 year old male, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (First Degree Felony), Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Criminal Instrument, Aggravated Assault (warrant) and Parole Violation.

On 4/3/10 Deputy Amstutz and Deputy Holden were dispatched to the Porter Walmart in reference to a welfare check. The caller advised that a male in the parking lot was inhaling a substance out of a can. The suspect began banging his head on the car, striking the doors with his hands, kicking the car and talking to himself. When the deputies arrived the suspect was found to have purchased the inhalant in the store and went to the parking lot to inhale the substance, a dust removal aerosol can. The suspect, a 22 year old male was arrested and charged with Possession and Use of Inhalant.

On 4/4/10 Deputy Martinez was dispatched to Vick Rd. in reference to a disturbance. Upon her arrival she met with one of the parties in the disturbance and he was found to have an active warrant. The suspect, a 37 year old male was arrested.

On 4/5/10 Deputy Amstutz was dispatched to Crowns Cove Lane in reference to a Family Violence in Progress call. Upon his arrival he met with the complainant and learned that the suspect had arrived at the residence and forced his way into the home. The victim attempted to call 911 bit the suspect took the phone away from her. The suspect injured the victim by pushing her to the ground. Deputies arrived on scene and placed the suspect into custody. During a search of the suspect’s vehicle, Steroids were located inside of the vehicle. The suspect, a 29 year old male, was arrested and charged with Assault, Interference with an Emergency
Telephone Call, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Trespass of a Habitation and Criminal Mischief.

On 4/6/10 Deputy Amstutz and Deputy Holden were dispatched to the Brookshire Brothers Pharmacy on Hwy 59 in reference to a Prescription Forgery. Upon his arrival he learned that the suspect was in the store and had presented a forged prescription for Vicoden. The suspect, a 27 year old male was taken into custody and charged with Fraud.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On April 5th at approximately 3:30 am MCSO Deputies Hahs and Zavorski were dispatched to Stillwater Court for a Disturbance in Progress. Upon arrival the Deputies met with the Complainant who advised that a male subject, his fiancées ex-husband had made his way into the residence and came into the bedroom where he and his fiancée were asleep. The male subject pushed the female on to the floor and began hitting the Complainant with a large wrench. The Complainant was able to fight back and the male subject eventually ran out of the residence. The male subject was located in Dobbin on Old Highway 105 inside his vehicle and arrested for
Burglary of Habitation Felony Assault and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On April 3rd at approximately 3:30 am MCSO Deputies Hahs and Zavorski were traveling on FM 1774 and observed a tan vehicle swerving off the roadway and into the middle turn lane. The Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Lee and Buddy Riley. Inside the vehicle a clear plastic bag containing Marijuana was discovered. Three males were placed in custody for possession of Marijuana in a Drug Free School Zone and were transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On April 2nd at approximately 4:00 pm MCSO Deputy Crandell was dispatched to the Turtle Creek Subdivision in reference to a Family Disturbance in Progress. Deputy Crandell arrived and met with the Complainant who advised his wife had started a verbal altercation as he was trying to move his belongings out of their residence. As words failed to provoke a response from the Complainant the female subject spat at him hitting him in the face. The female was arrested for Assault Family Violence and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On March 31st Deputy Birch and Corporal Bybee saw a vehicle parked along the shoulder of Bent Oak. Corporal Bybee spoke with the driver, a 44 year old male who stated he had run out of fuel. The male subject appeared to be very nervous and the male subject grabbed a silver metal object from his vehicle and attempted to flee. Deputies were able to apprehend the subject. The metal object was identified as a tube used to smoke narcotics. Two small white rocks were discovered and field tested positive for crack cocaine. The subject was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance a State Jail Felony and Evading Arrest and taken to jail.

On March 30th at approximately 7:00 pm MCSO Deputy Williams was dispatched to the 37000 Block of Little Thorn in regards to a 44 Year old male subject who wanted to turn himself in on a warrant. Deputy Williams arrived on located and met with the male subject. The subject’s identification was checked through MCSO Dispatch and a warrant for Motion to Revoke Probation (Felony) was confirmed. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On March 29th at approximately 2:00 pm MCSO Deputy Crandell was dispatched to the 16000 Block of Walnut Springs in reference to a Warrant Service. MCSO Corporal Sumrall was first on scene and detained the 28 year old male subject and checked his identification through MCSO Dispatch. Dispatch advised the subject had an active warrant through Montgomery County for Criminal Mischief with a $500 bond. The warrant was confirmed and Deputy Crandell placed the subject into custody and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On March 25th at approximately 2:00 am MCSO Sgt Russell was dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident in the 26600 Block of Hardin Store Road. A vehicle had slid off of the road. The driver had fled the scene but was later found at a convenience store using a pay phone. Upon making contact with the 30 year old male Sgt Russell detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the subjects breath. The subject was arrested.

District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)

On 04/01/10 Deputy Durbin was conducting after hour patrol of the Scott’s Ridge Boat Ramp when he noticed several males loitering in the area. Investigation revealed that one of the males was in illegal possession of a handgun. The male was arrested for Unlawful Carrying a Weapon, Misdemeanor -A, and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $750 bond.

On 04/01/10 Deputy Jackson and Deputy Neeley responded to the 600 block of Crystal River Rd in regards to a residential Burglary that had recently occurred. Witnesses reported two male Suspects were seen walking from the scene headed towards SH 105W. Deputies were able to locate both Suspects at a nearby Pawn Shop attempting to sell property they had just stolen in the burglary. Property was recovered and returned to the owner. Both of the Suspects were arrested for Burglary of a Habitation, Felony 2, and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $10,000 bond each.

On 04/03/10 Deputy Garner responded to the 3300 block of Honea Egypt in regards to a loud party Disturbance with possible underage drinking. Upon arrival it was learned that a large party, being hosted by an adult male, had several underage individuals on location consuming alcoholic beverages. Several citations were issued to the juveniles before being released to their parents. The adult male, party host, was arrested for Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor, Misdemeanor – A, and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $750 bond.

On 04/05/10 Deputy Favorat responded to Indian Falls Road in regards to the Burglary of a Habitation that recently occurred. The Complainant reported that someone had forced entry into his home and stole several articles of computer equipment valued in excess of $850. Deputy Favorat was able to identify the Suspect, locate, recover and return the stolen computer equipment to the complainant. The Suspect was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation, Felony 2, and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $10,000 bond.

On 04/05/10 Deputy Neeley responded to the 19800 block of Security Way in regards to a Burglary of a Habitation. Upon arrival and investigation a male Suspect was detained at the scene and numerous stolen firearms were recovered and returned to the owner. The Suspect was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation, Felony 2, and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on $10,000 bond.

On 04/05/10 Deputies, Favorat, Jackson and Farmer responded to the 800 block of Beach Walk Blvd to conduct a felony Warrant Service. The male subject in question was located and arrested for an outstanding felony Parole Violation Warrant. The subject was placed into the Montgomery County Jail and is being held without bond.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 3040 College Park Drive:
3/30 – White Female 20 yrs old from New Caney – The recovered merchandise (10 items) was valued at $104.00. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 1100 Lake Woodlands Drive:
3/29 – White Male 17 yrs old from The Woodlands – The recovered merchandise (1 item) was
valued at 69.99. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

The following Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Controlled Substance arrest(s) were made:
3/27 – White Male 18 yrs old from Houston and White Male 19 yrs old from Magnolia – were arrested after Deputies responded to a Trespasser in Progress report. Four young men were seen skateboarding in the parking garage at 1505 Lake Front Circle. It is clearly posted that skateboarding is not allowed in the area. During the course of the investigation and with assistance from the Montgomery County Constables office, two of the suspects were found to be in Possession of Marijuana. Both were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. All four were given Criminal Trespass Warnings for the location.

3/29 – 2 White Males 20 yrs old from The Woodlands and Spring were arrested after Dep. Knight responded to a suspicious vehicle call on Turtle Rock. During the course of the investigation, a black bag containing .039 oz. of marijuana, and two clear bags containing .11 oz. and .060 oz. of Marijuana were found. The suspects were charged with Possession of Marijuana and transported to the South Montgomery County Jail.

The following Public Intoxications arrests were made:
4/3 – White Male 39 yrs old from Conroe was arrested on Water Way Avenue at Timberloch.
4/4 – White Female 49 yrs old from The Woodlands was arrested on Lake Robbins.

On April 2, 2010, Cpl. Gonzales, while working an approved extra job at the 1601 Lake Robbins Drive was notified by staff that there was a disturbance on the third floor and that management wanted all persons involved to leave the building. Cpl. Gonzales made contact with the group and while attempting to escort them from the building, the suspect, White Male 21 yrs old from Sugarland, started resisting commands to leave. Cpl. Gonzales attempted to place the suspect in restraints when the suspect attempted to climb over the escalator railing. Cpl. Gonzales was finally able to restrain the suspect. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
