The approach of a strong upper level disturbance with a cold front could produce
scattered showers and thunderstorms late this afternoon into tonight. The capping
inversion in place over the area (after yesterdays activity) will likely be broken by
the strong dynamics of these systems along with daytime heating and favorable
winds aloft.
Some of these storms could be strong to severe. The main threats will be hail and
damaging winds.
