Northbound and Southbound main lanes of I-45 remain closed around SH 242 due to a crash that occurred about an hour ago.
A heavy-duty wrecker (from out of town) had a blowout and struck the concrete wall dividing the sides of the interstate, as well as a vehicle. The wall was pushed into the southbound lanes. A third vehicle was also involved, but we don’t have the details on it yet.
The wrecker driver remains trapped in his truck, but is conscious and stable, with crews working to free him.
A large amount of fuel was also spilled on the freeway.
Please avoid the area if possible.
