UPDATE – The child’s parents have been identified. She was left in the custody of a babysitter when she wound up nearly drowning.
The two young men who rescued her have been identified by Roman Forest Police as Markuise and Cameron.
A girl who appears to be around 3-5 years old was found in Peach Creek near the Roman Forest park, drowning. A pair of 12-year-old boys rescued her. She says her name is Melody, but can’t provide any other helpful information to locate her family.
Roman Forest Police Chief Stephen Carlisle says she is okay, but they need to find her parents.
