The crash Sunday morning at Kickapoo and FM 2920 claimed the lives of three people in one family. Just after 11 am Vanisri Yalamanchili, age 52 was traveling south on Kickapoo in Lexus. She failed to stop for the blinking red light at the intersection of FM 2920 for the traffic on Kickapoo. A 2022 Chevrolet Silverado dually was traveling east on FM 2920. The driver with his two young daughters ages 7 and 11. He was unable to avoid the collision which happened at highway speed. The two young girls were transported to the hospital with their dad as a precaution only. Yalamanchili and her 20-year-old daughter Meghana Koeali were both killed on impact. Her other daughter who was 16 years old was Life Flighted to Memorial Hermann in Houston where she was pronounced deceased. DPS investigated the crash as the intersection remained closed for most of the day.
