Through leads developed from media exposure of the robber’s photograph and cooperative investigation with other local and federal agencies, David Glenn Manuel, 38, of Dayton, Texas was developed on the following morning as a primary suspect due to similar modus operandi in other robberies. Investigation also revealed that Manuel attempted to purchase a used car in Conroe immediately following the robbery and was offering to pay cash. Manuel was located and arrested in Panama City, Florida earlier today for federal parole violation and has subsequently confessed to authorities. A determination will be made at a later date as to state or federal prosecution of Manuel.

Shenandoah Chief of Police Chancellor commented that the successfulness and quick resolution of this case is a tribute to public cooperation, as well as cooperation of multiple law enforcement agencies working together. Chief Chancellor specifically expressed his sincere appreciation for the thorough work that Detective Sgt. Denham accomplished to resolve the City’s first bank robber in several years.
