One Houston driver is lucky to be alive after crashing into the back of an 18-wheeler Monday night.
Deputies say the wreck happened on the North Freeway near Rankin around 11 p.m.
According to investigators, a big rig was parked on the shoulder of the freeway when a car slammed into it, splitting the vehicle in half.
The driver of the car was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
