MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- Around 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Splendora Police Department’s DWI Taskforce saw a vehicle that appeared to have difficulty staying in one marked lane. Officers initiated a traffic stop at Hwy 59 and FM 2090, and found 38-year-old Ernestino Cruz not only appeared intoxicated, but they also say he had an open liquor bottle.
Ernestino Alfaro Cruz, of Houston, is charged with Driving While Intoxicated / Open Container, which is a class B misdemeanor.
Officers transported Cruz to the Montgomery County Jail for booking, and then he had time to “sleep it off”. Bond was set at $600. As of 3:45 p.m., he remained in jail.
