Conroe Man Murdered, Killer On The Run

A Thursday night altercation in Walker County left a 20-year-old Conroe man dead and police searching for 19-year-old Treveon Deon Williams, who witnesses identified as the killer.

Just after 7 p.m., Huntsville Police responded to a shooting call at a residence in the 600 block of Avenue G, where they found Hoveaire Easley in critical condition with a gunshot wound. Medics worked to save Easley as they transported him to Huntsville Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to HPD, witnesses told investigators Easley and Williams had a disagreement that ended when Williams pulled out a handgun and shot Easley. By the time police arrived, Williams was nowhere to be found. Police have not revealed what prompted the deadly dispute, but they quickly obtained an arrest warrant for Treveon Williams and began asking for the public’s help in locating him. Williams was arrested two years ago and charged with Terroristic Threat (class B misdemeanor) and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon (class A misdemeanor). He pleaded guilty to Unlawful Carry of a Weapon and was sentenced to 15 days in jail plus court costs. Williams was 17 that year. Any arrests prior to his seventeenth birthday are protected by law because he was a juvenile.

Previous arrest records show Treveon Deon Williams is around 5 feet 9 inches, and about 120 lbs.

Anyone with information regarding Williams’ whereabouts should call the Huntsville Police Department at (936) 291-5480 or Crime Stoppers at (936) 294-9494.
