About 12:30 a.m. a driver was traveling northbound on FM 1485 just south of Fire Tower Road. The driver stated that as he entered the curve an oncoming vehicle with bright lights caused him to lose the road. The driver left the roadway running over three TXDOT highway curve signs before slamming into a utility pole and shearing it off and throwing his toolboxes out of the bed of the truck. The driver suffered minor injuries. MCSO will remain on the scene as they await Entergy as the pole will need to be stabilized before the truck can be moved. Most Entergy crews remain in Louisiana which may cause delays in them responding. Power in the area could possibly be disrupted when crews replace the utility pole. One northbound lane of FM 1485 remains closed.
