After receiving several complaints from the staff and residents of the Everlee Apartment Complex regarding the sale of drugs in the parking lot, Deputies within the Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office initiated an investigation in to the alleged suspicious activity.
On Wednesday July 19, 2017, Investigators observed the suspects purchasing the drugs from a vacant vehicle in the parking lot of the apartment complex. After conducting the drug transactions, patrol deputies made contact with the suspects and arrested them. After making several arrest related to the activity taking place at the vehicle, a search warrant was obtained to search the vehicle. Execution of the search warrant revealed the presence of $1,600 cash, and an additional felony amount of drugs, all of which was seized.
“As a result of the investigation, Harris County Precinct 4 Special Operations Unit and the Undercover Investigative Unit filed 4 Felony charges and 1 Misdemeanor charge for possession of various drugs found. Jeffrey Stahlhut, Corey Thornton, Marcus Prado and James Vernon were all arrested, charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Distribute and booked into the Harris County Jail. Additionally, Deputies recovered 142 grams of Hashish Oil, 3 ounces of Marijuana, and seized the suspect’s vehicle along with $1600.00 in cash.” – Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman
