As the winds die down and the humidity increases the now fifty acre fire is forty-percent contained. Anderson Fire Department which was one of the first fire departments to arrive has been sent home and other units will be released shortly. Unlike the fires of 2011 when we had extremely dry air and winds out of the northwest, the winds today out of the southeast brought in moist Gulf air preventing the fire to grow to any magnitude.
