At 7:00 pm Montgomery County Dispatchers took a call for a parasail crash behind the Kroger Store in Montgomery. MCHD and Montgomery Fire Department arrived on the scene. The 53-year-old pilot from Spring was unconscious. Medics worked on him for 45-minutes on the scene and en route to HCA Conroe Regional Hospital. He was pronounced deceased at 8:12 pm at Conroe Regional. According to Montgomery Police who are investigating the crash, the pilot caught a gust of wind and was unable to recover, bringing his aircraft to the ground.
